Sportshall Athletics

On Friday 27th January, eighteen pupils from Oak Class represented Hunwick Primary School at the Sportshall Athletics competition held at Bishop Barrington. During their session, they competed in a mixture of track and field events. Over the last few weeks, a total of 24 schools have competed in the tournament. The team not only had a great time in competing, but everyone gave their all in each of the events. Once all sessions were completed, results were calculated across all competing schools and were published.

Some of our notable successes included:

3rd in Girls' Speed Bounce

3rd in Boys' Obstacle Relay

2nd in Girls' Soft Javelin

2nd in Boys' Chest Push

2nd in Boys' 2+2 lap Relay

1st in Girls' Over/Under Relay

Overall, Hunwick was placed a very respectable 5th place (out of 24 schools). Well done to everyone who took part; you were fantastic ambassadors for our school!
