On a sunny but blustery Tuesday the Year 4s took part in a Bikeability session. Pupils were given the opportunity to familarise themselves with their bikes, identifying the importance of keeping their bikes in working order and wearing their helmets. Once checks were carried out, pupils were put through their paces with various activities to develop their skills in stopping safely and signaling in order to gain their Level 1 Bikeability award.
Some of our more novice riders were also able to spend time practising on the bikes and increasing their confidence on two wheels. After the sessions, pupils returned to the classroom looking happy and worn-out. A successful time was had by all - they can wait to attempt Level 2 next year. Well done everyone!
