Sycamore Class (Years 3&4)

Welcome to Sycamore class!

Year 3 and 4 class teachers are Mrs Wade (Monday-Wednesday) and Miss Turvey (Thursday-Friday). In Sycamore class we also have the privilege of having some invaluable help, throughout the week from Mr Joyce and Mrs Elstob. Together, we are dedicated to ensuring children are given the ability to reach their full potential while also stretching their personal goals and successes. We will aim high together to make ourselves proud!

We strive to allow children the responsibility for their choices and education, developing independence and resilience, as they prepare for the challenges of UKS2 and the ever-changing world we live in. Lessons adhere to the National Curriculum while also being led by the interests of the children.

In the summer term, all children in Year 4 are required to undertake a national assessment of their multiplication knowledge so continuous practice is essential. Further information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/multiplication-tables-check-information-for-parents. There will be more information delivered in due course by your child's class teacher. Year 3 children will continue to learn their times tables which is supported by the use of TTrockstars and daily practice.

While we strive to encourage our best, we are very understanding that amongst Year 3 and 4 there is an artist, a musician, an athlete, a writer. We look to stretch skills while providing for all learners, in a fun, adventurous, challenging, environment.
