SPORTS DAY

As detailed in the newsletter last month Sports Day will take place (weather permitting) on Wednesday 28th June, starting at 1:00pm. If the weather is bad, an email will be sent out and we will rearrange for Tuesday 4th July at 1:00pm. Please bring your own chairs or blankets and set them out on the lower side of the running track. The Friends of Hunwick will be providing refreshments and there will be a raffle. In order to ensure the afternoon progresses as smoothly and quickly as possible can we please ask that you stay on the bottom side of the track. Children will be seated on the upper side of the track to support their team mates and must stay with their classes until the end of all events.

All the children have been put into house teams: Eagles (Yellow), Owls (Red), Hawks (Blue) and Kestrels (Green). It would be helpful if your child could wear a T-shirt in their house team's colour for Sports Day. For Sports Day, this year there will be numerous track events: sprint, sack, skipping, egg and spoon, obstacle, cone run, bean bag run and hurdles. Each child will take part in all events.
